The Academy Dance Studios combine a sprung maple floor with air conditioning to give you the best of workout environments, offering a very comprehensive timetable of over 65 classes per week to suit all ages and abilities.

Pure Madness! 2 classes back-to-back. 50 minutes of hard cycle / 50 minutes Body Pump with Master Gee! Earn your weekend brownie points!!
Aerobics
A high energy choreographed workout. Instructors have their own style with difficulty levels as shown by each class.
Aquafit
A low impact aerobic water based class designed to condition and tone the body. Lots of fun too.
AOB / Body Conditioning / Body Styling
Low impact combination of choreographed workout and conditioning exercises. May include a short cardio session.
Body Balance™
A yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength, and leaves you feeling centered and calm.
Body Combat™
An empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai combine to punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.
Body Jam™
A cardio workout where you are free to enjoy the sensation of dance. An addictive fusion of the latest dance moves and hottest new sounds!
Body Pump™
The original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. Great music, burns up to 600 kcal per class and improves your general fitness!
Boxercise™
A circuit style class including boxing stations, focus pads, punch bag, skipping ropes, etc. A fun, addictive, safe, stress busting workout suitable for all ages and levels of ability.
Crunch Time / Core! What a workout
A conditioning workout aimed at the core muscles with flexi bars, fitballs and mat work.
Energy Cycling / NRJize!
A non-impact, high velocity, calorie burning workout on fixed-wheel resistance indoor bikes. Water and a towel a necessity!
Evergreen Fitness Classes
Specialised fitness for the mature age group, who are still young and evergreen at heart! Classes combine aerobic exercise with moves designed to enhance stability, strength and co-ordination.
Fitness Ballet
Simple ballet moves to tone, strengthen and elongate your muscles. No ballet or dance experience necessary. Please wear socks.
Intro Classes
From time to time we will endeavour to run Introduction classes for new and/or existing members. These classes will be short in duration with emphasis placed on trying something new, service and technique.
Kettlercise™
A combination of basic moves to more advanced techniques, this is a high energy pulse raising class placing massive emphasis on the abs, glutes, arms and thighs, all with maximum effectiveness!
Last Man Standing / Circuit Training
Exercises are based in a station format. Moving around for set time periods, there are high and low impact alternatives using a variety of studio equipment.
Legs, Bums & Tums
An all round body workout specialising in the use of weights and fitballs to sculpt the body, emphasizing the LBTs.
MMA Conditioning
A solid base of cardiovascular fitness is needed for this body blasting workout! Kick, hit and punch your way to fitness with this Mixed Martial Arts strength, conditioning and aerobic workout!
Classic Style Pilates (Joseph Pilates)
Developed by Joseph Pilates as a form of exercise in a confined space, classic style Pilates emphasises the balanced development of the body through core strength*, flexibility and awareness in order to support efficient and graceful movement.
* The balanced development of the deep and superficial muscles that stabilise, align and move the trunk of the body, especially the abdominals and muscles of the back.
Step
A medium impact total body workout featuring set routines using step block / risers.
Swing Cycle
25 minutes cycle / 25 minutes of kettlebell exercises. Spin, swing, clean and press your way to a better body!
Tennis Fitness
Tennis specific fitness, cardio and core conditioning and exercises for joint stability. Bring a drink, a towel and warm layers. First session free, thereafter £3.50 per class. For more details, please contact Zoe Jeffrey on 07834 589107.
Tour de Force
No ordinary Energy Cycling class! A fun and motivational hardcore cycle class for cycle enthusiasts.
Astanga Yoga
A fast paced physical yoga that uses a specific form of breathing. There is a constant flowing movement, linking from one posture to the next. Requires stamina.
Hatha Yoga
The most common style of yoga in Europe. A mixture of gentle and stronger stretches, breathing and relaxation. Suitable for all levels and abilities.
Satyananda Yoga
Referred to as the yoga of the head, heart and hands. Satyananda yoga aims to bring the body, mind and spirit together as a whole. Gentle and meditative, good for stress release and meditation.
Kids Yoga
Improves concentration, flexibility and inner calm whilst having fun in a non-competitive environment.
Zumba®
A Latin inspired dance-fitness class. It incorporates Latin and world styles of dance creating a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system!
